It's the third version of an electric bike that UBC engineering design team ThunderBikes has assembled, suitably named the MK3. ThunderBikes captain Bhargav Thoom said it has taken the team countless hours and about $2,000 in materials to build but on Sunday, after he left it locked up outside the UBC residence Place Vanier, it was stolen."At this point, we would just like it back, no questions asked," said Thoom, a third-year mechanical engineering student. "We just want to continue to work on what we're passionate about."The bike was nearing completion it was rideable, but there was still work being done on the electrical components.
